H2S Awareness + SCBA Training
- H2S awareness and SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) training is essential for anyone working in environments where hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas may be present. H2S is a highly toxic, colorless gas with a distinct rotten egg smell, and it can be fatal at high concentrations.
- Training focuses on understanding H2S properties, recognizing hazards, using detection equipment, and properly employing SCBA for respiratory protection.
Learning Outcomes
- Participants learn about the immediate and long-term health effects of H2S exposure, including irritation, respiratory problems, and potential loss of consciousness or death at high concentrations
- Participants learn how to properly select, inspect, and wear SCBA for respiratory protection, including donning and doffing procedures, and how to perform routine maintenance.
