ASNT Level III – Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)
- An ASNT Level III MFL course outline covers the fundamental principles of magnetic flux leakage, including the physics of magnetic fields and flux, various magnetization techniques, and the theory of flux leakage.
- The curriculum also includes practical aspects like sensor technologies (search coils, Hall effect, GMR), signal processing, calibration, equipment, and the application of MFL to real-world problems, as well as how to write procedures and standards for specific tests.
Learning Outcomes
- Provide advanced knowledge of MFL principles, magnetic circuit design, and signal evaluation for inspection of ferromagnetic materials.
